What does STEMM stand for?

STEMM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and high-tech Manufacturing. We use this broader term to reflect the full range of pathways available to the young women in our programmes.

How does sponsorship work?

When you sponsor IYM, your donation goes directly towards running workshops, providing mentors and supporting young women through our programmes. We will keep you updated on the impact your support is making throughout the year.

Can businesses or organisations become sponsors?

Yes, we welcome corporate partners. We offer a range of partnership options, from one-off donations to ongoing workplace giving programmes. Get in touch with us to discuss how your organisation can get involved.

How are donations and sponsorships used?

We use donations to fund workshop materials, transport for participants, mentoring programmes and leadership opportunities for young women across our programmes. We are committed to transparency and regularly share how funds are used.

Sponsoring a student means directly funding a young woman's place in one of our programmes - giving her hands-on access to STEMM careers, inspiring role models, and experiences that can change the direction of her life.

Sponsorship keeps our programme costs low, ensuring Innovative Young Minds is accessible to any young woman who wants to attend, regardless of her background or circumstances. Sponsoring a student in our IYM Residential programme costs $1,000 and includes an invitation to our parliamentary reception, where you can meet your sponsored student and connect with key industry leaders in the STEMM sector.

Making a bequest is straightforward. Talk to your lawyer about adding one to your existing will or making a new will that includes a bequest to Innovative Young Minds.
