What is IYM Online?

IYM Online introduces you to the wide range of research and career opportunities available in STEMM through our engaging and interactive programme.

Delivered entirely online via Zoom and Google Classroom, this programme is for Year 11 and 12 female students from all over New Zealand and the Pacific. You'll get to know other young women who share your passion for STEMM.

Over four half-day weekday sessions you will see inside a range of STEMM organisations and hear from women who have built careers and businesses in the STEMM sector, all from your own home!

How to apply

Applications for our 2026 programme are OPEN.

Applications close 07 March 2026

You can now apply online. To get the most out of the programme you will need a home internet connection and a laptop or computer. To ensure fair representation from high schools across New Zealand and the Pacific, we will admit the first three applicants from each school to the programme. Other applicants from that school will be placed on a waiting list.

Thanks to the generousity of our sponsors, participants only pay $30 including GST per person for IYM Online. Successful applicants pay this fee once they are accepted into the programme.
