Innovative Young Minds wants to inspire a new generation of female innovators and industry leaders in the STEMM (science, technology, engineering, maths and high-tech manufacturing) sectors.

We offer three options for Year 11 - 12 girls to explore the STEMM fields. You can begin your inspiration journey by checking out our programmes and hearing from some of our alumnae.

Our Programmes

Innovative Young Minds offers three options for you to explore the STEMM fields.

IYM Residential, our annual STEMM camp for 40 Year 11 and 12 students from greater Wellington region held in the July school holidays will take you outside your comfort zone, introduce you to loads of new experiences and introduce you to a bunch of new friends and contacts.

IYM Online is delivered online via Zoom and Google Classroom for 100 Year 11 and 12 young women from all over Aotearoa. This engaging and interactive programme will take place in the April school holidays over four half-day weekday sessions.

A shorter, focussed opportunity to connect to STEMM careers and industries for Year 11 and 12 female students, either regionally or all over New Zealand.
